Inventor Spotlight - Andreas Hoenigschmid

Sand artist by day. Shashibo mastermind at night. Inspired by his love of design, geometry and sand art, Andreas wanted to create a magnetic puzzle toy that would be accessible to people of all ages and walks of life, even those vision-impaired. What is Shashibo made of?

All Shashibo are made of high-quality injection mold plastic, tear-resistant stickers, and have 36 internal rare earth magnets enclosed within each cube!

How big is Shashibo?

Each Shashibo is 2.4″ when in its original cube form. As you transform it from shape to shape to explore the 70+ shapes each cube can make, it expands and becomes bigger. If you collect & connect more than one Shashibo, the overall structure becomes even larger!

What are HyperTiles?

HyperTiles are a construction toy that lets children create unique shapes by linking tiles together in unpredictable ways. The tiles are based on a mathematical shape called a hyperbolic paraboloid.
